Cherokee National Forest

The 640,000 acre Cherokee National Forest stretches along the North Carolina border, and is Tennessee's largest publicly owned park. This is a popular for tourists, sportspeople and outdoor lovers.

Cherokee National Park is in the Appalachian Mountains in an area that has more than 20,000 different types of animals and plants.

There is so much to do and so many places to stay while visiting this diverse wilderness area. Rent a cabin nestled in the forest, perched on a mountain or overlooking a lake.
